How to apply BroadSweep & Kamba M herbicides to lawns and turf

BroadSweep and Kamba* M herbicides are professional products and very popular for those wanting to control a wide range of broadleaf weeds in lawns, turf, and grass pastures. 

BroadSweep is the Weed Force brand equivalent of Kamba* M and is manufactured here in Australia. BroadSweep is used by many councils and a range of commercial contractors to control broadleaf weeds in lawns and turf.

These herbicides are registered for the control of many troublesome broadleaf weeds including:-
  • capeweed
  • clover
  • thistles
  • dandelion
  • bindy-eye
  • catesar
  • plaintain
and many other weeds

Weed Killer & herbicide products can be daunting to novice users. Not only can the initial selection be difficult, by also how to determine the correct mixing and application rates.

It  is always important to read the product labels prior to mixing and application as this important document contains relevant information for the safe use and application of the products.

The BroadSweep and Kamba* M label instructions make it easy to calculate the quantity of product to mix and how much spray mixture to apply over the area to be treated. The following information is taken from the BroadSweep & Kamba M product label.

For small turf areas:

Mix 100ml of Broadsweep or Kamba* M  herbicide in 15Litres of water to cover 150 square metres

For large turf areas:

Apply 6.5L of BroadSweep or Kamba* M in 250 - 400 litres of water per hectare ( ie 10,000 square metres)


To achieve the best reults in is important :-
  • To only apply the products to actively growing weeds
  • To not mow turf for two days before or after application. 
  • To not fertilise within two weeks of spraying
